The BGVP is a hybrid dual driver/four armature IEM. In this article we take a look at this strange earphone. Disclaimer: The BGVP DMG was sent to us free of charge in exchange for an honest review. The IEM can be found on Linsoul Audio and goes for $139USD. Hi guys and gals. Have you ever wanted to try a semi-open-back in-ear monitor? Today we review the BGVP DMS, an earphone with 7 drivers per side (1 dynamic + 6 balanced armature) and a 4-way crossover. The DMS appears to be an evolution of the BGVP DMG and sports similar 3D-printed metal shells and detachable MMCX cable. Okay, let’s check it out.

Bgvp Dmg Vs Dmg

This is a record month at Poc for me: Every time I get to the office someone has dropped something new, and wonderful on my desk. This week’s surprise was another amazing multi-driver earbud featured by the great folks at LSR-Direct. The BGVP DMG Metal Earphones are great looking earbuds fully loaded with absolutely customizable professional level equipment and high performance accessories. These easy to personalize professional sounding and looking earphones contain within each earpiece two dynamic drivers for the low end coupled with quad balanced armature drivers through a 4 way crossover for amazing full range, bass enhanced, or treble enhanced listening. Let’s look deeper!

Convert iso to dmg macos. Some Assembly Required

When you first open your package of BGVP DMG Metal Earphones the earbuds are cradled on top in front. The left one is on the left and the right is on the right. This will matter later as the left/right indicator letters printed on the earphone body are tiny. The pair I’m testing came in candy apple red and these gems are also available in black or blue. Included is a lovely silver high end MMCX audio cable for great looking connectivity. I tested the audiophile or musician set but for an additional 5 dollars cost you will receive a black cable with microphone and MFB button for phone connectivity. There are also 3 bags with 3 different sets of ear tips including blue silicone, black foam and black silicone tips as well as two ear cradles which can help route the cable over your ears. Finally, in a small plastic case there are 3 different sets of EQ tubes or nozzles: the balanced/flat response nozzles are preinstalled. In the red pair they are red, in the black set they would be black and blue for the blue set. To set up the earbuds for enhanced bass performance you would install the gold nozzles and for enhanced treble/vocal Reinforcement use the silver pair. The BGVP DMG earphones are not fully assembled in the box, and require some effort to connect all the parts. There is a single page of included instructions which are barely written in English and to be honest, don’t really say much. Let me instruct you on proper assembly and use of the BGVP DMG Metal Earphones and fill in the blanks.

Put it Together

May 21, 2019  BGVP DMG (139.00): The DMG has a warmer, more mid-bassy presentation that is less dense and weighty through the mids and treble. DMS has better treble extension and more forward mids. DMS has better treble extension and more forward mids. I know someone wrote the DMS have more clarity but hoping for more info. What about vs the highly acclaimed DM6 or even the 7? As far as value goes, do you feel they priced it accordingly against their other products? $160 for DMS, $100 DMG (current price on Drop), $190 for DM6, $300 DM7 (if you've been lucky enough to try one already).

When you look at the BGVP DMG Metal Earphones there is a tiny L and a tiny R on each earpiece near the cable connectors. The MMCX audio cable included also has tiny L and tiny R printed on the MMCX connectors which attach to the earphones. These ends are also color coordinated with the common red for right side and blue for left. They are absurdly easy to connect: The MMCX connectors require a firm push to make the connection: you will both feel the click and hear it when they are properly installed. The MMCX cable is 5N OCC(Ohno continuous cast) and silver plated which effectively reduced signal loss and distortion while faithfully reproducing the audio source whether it’s a prerecorded track like a .wav file or mp3, or live vocals and instruments when being used as a live performance in ear monitor. There are 3 sets of eartips for the BGVP DMG earphones as mentioned earlier. The medium size as always comes preinstalled so if you require the large or small set, they are easy to find in the case and any install quickly and firmly with a squeeze and a push. Finally we get to the real bonus to these Metal Earphones: 3 sets of tuned nozzles designed to enhance the bass, or treble in your ears, as well as a set for balanced or flat response. I spent a lot of time changing these nozzles out over the last few days. First remove your ear tips from the DMG earphones. The small plastic case included to hold the Equalization nozzles really comes in handy when changing out nozzles because they are not large and could easily be lost. I dropped one of them on the floor and luckily for me the silver, gold and anodized red show up really well in carpet. These nozzles screw into and out of the BGVP DMG Metal earphones very easily. Just snug them up, there’s no point overtightening on these well engineered and great sounding earphones. Then replace the ear tips and you are on your way. The MMCX cable is pre curved to fit around the back of one’s ear, but BGVP includes a pair of cable guide/ear hooks which I found very easy to install and use. Once they are installed it’s easy to slide the hooks over my ears and gently seat the earpieces in each of my ear canals. These hooks also help discriminate when looking for the right side or left side. Now that the BGVP DMG Metal Earphones are fully assembled, let’s take a listen:

Stellar Performance

As I mentioned earlier: the BGVP DMG Metal earphones came with the balanced EQ nozzles preinstalled. With two low end dynamic drivers in each earpiece these babies were slamming from the get go. When listening to the earphones in full range, I immediately noticed the clear singing highs , brilliant midrange and clean solid lows. There is great discrimination between the audio ranges and an amazing presence for such lightweight and comfortable earbuds. I thought to myself “Are these truly the flat response EQ nozzles?” but through the next several hours of experimentation including wearing different EQ nozzles in different ears I have no doubt these DMG ear nozzles perform as indicated by the specs. The Balanced nozzle performs as a balanced pair of earphones, the Bass enhanced nozzle kicks up the bottom end, and the Treble enhanced nozzle clearly drops the low end to concentrate on the high midrange and upper register of the audio spectrum. Buying the BGVP DMG Metal Earphones is exactly like buying 3 pairs of high end great sounding earphones with completely different eq specs and that to me is the real bonus for these truly professional level in ear monitors. They can be customized for each performer, or the sound engineer on a live performance stage mechanically which as some of us know, can save time and effort from having to tweak the monitor send for each performer. I ran the BGVP DMG earphones hard to see if I could get them to distort and it was really a waste of effort: Using industry standard devices which can utilize the 3.5 mm jack these babies just got loud and stayed clear and delicious sounding no matter what genre of music. I even spent an hour listening to House music while checking out the Bass enhance EQ nozzle. It’s not my cup of tea but I didn’t get ear fatigue from the BASS BASS BASS going BOOM BOOM BOOM even at maximum volumes. The BGVP DMG Metal Earphones can take POWER and turn it into an amazing audio experience without distortion, without users fatigue and with your preferred EQ flavor. Amazing!

My First 10 out of 10

I don’t give 10 out of 10. Everybody fails at something simple when trying to present new products to the world. The BGVP DMG Metal Earphones have finally broken my record with a full 10 score on the Mike E scale. They are reasonably priced for all of the bells and whistles, they look great, they sound amazing and are absolutely customizable for the audio purist, headphone enthusiast or professional sound engineer/vocalist/musician. They are extremely comfortable and don’t cause ear fatigue when wearing them for long hours. These earphones are really just the best sounding consumer/professional level earphones I’ve heard this year whether using the Bass EQ nozzle, the Treble EQ nozzle or just listening to the audio signal with fully balanced full range sound. The BGVP DMG Metal Earphones supply everything they promise: great sound, great looks, low or no distortion and a professional earphone as at home on the biggest stages as in your living room. These professional level earphones can get loud but without any distortion effects or weird audio effects the DMG earphones are never painfully loud. I personally can’t wait to get these on a stage to get some feedback from some of the great artists I work with in the music industry. Even with the lousy instruction pamphlet I give the BGVP DMG Metal Earphones a 10 out of 10. Don’t expect to see that again soon. Thanks to LSR-Direct for allowing us to field test these wonderful devices and I really hope we can feature more products like this soon!
