Several applications are designed to offer this solution for Windows systems.7-Zip and DMG Extractor are the best options to open DMG file on Windows because they are compatible with the most DMG variations. For Linux a built-in 'cdrecord' command can be issued to burn DMG files to CD's or DVD's.Aside from the Finder application, you can open DMG files through Apple Disk Utility, Roxio Toast, and Dare to be Creative iArchiver for Mac platform. Non-Macintosh systems may access DMG files and extract or convert them to ISO image files for burning. Mac can't run dmg. They can be accessed through the Mac OS Finder application by either launching the DMG file or mounting it as a drive.DMG is also referred to as the Apple’s equivalent to MSI files in Windows PC.

A Mimic has AC 12, 58 HP, to-hit +5, and expected damage of 11; sitting at CR 2. I don't see how those stats alone line up with a CR 2 creature, but I'll assume that Wizards of the Coast knows their stuff. If we use the Creating a Monster guidelines from DMG p. 274 to go from 2 to 3, we add about 15 hit points, +1 attack bonus, and about +5 damage. 5th Edition From my point of view, the stats from the table included on the page 274 of the DMG seems to give more HP and less damages than the one in the MM. The monsters created by this system seems to make monsters more durable and less deadly and seems to be a better challenge for the players. 5e has a table for comparing its HP and defense and its attack and so on. It generally gives me a CR of -1 or 2 of what I think it should be especially when I compare it to similar monsters. Level 1 DM 2 points 4 years ago edited 4 years ago. Melee Weapon Attack +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is restrained. Once per turn, a restrained creature can attempt a DC 15 Dexterity check to try and break free as an action. The lasso can only restrain one creature at a time. Melee Weapon Attack +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit 19 (3d6 + 10) bludgeoning damage. CR is not a exact number to follow in 5e, and works less than half the time. There is so many variables that the rules can't measure. Each DM need to valuate with his own table parameters to build the encounter. One thing that I discovered: Solo monsters are weak! Fill in offensives attributes of creature. DPR is averaged over three rounds! Click which special Monster Features it has. Be sure to read the Dungeon Master's Guide section on monster creation, pages 273 through 283. You can click on the table to the right to fill in values for a given and adjust to taste.

Requested review:

  • I'm interested how a CR 1/4 has such high stats. It has very high stats compared to any other official 1/4 CR.
  • I feel as a ghost type it could have darkvision. Otherwise it looks ok. Might be a bit stronger than 1/4 CR.--Yanied (talk) 10:27, 26 January 2020 (MST)

According to the table in the DMG, this creature deserves to be CR 1/2. If you do make that change, I'll also recommend raising its hit points as I feel it's a bit on the fragile side for a CR 1/2. The Charisma is rather high for such a low-level monster, though the CR 2 Will-O-Wisp has a 28 Dex so it's not entirely without precedent. — Geodude (talk contribs email)‎‎ . . 11:05, 26 January 2020 (MST)
